Chapter Meetings - everyone welcome
Sandpoint EAA Chapter 1441 meets the third Wednesday of each month at 6 pm at the president's hangar. If you would like to join us - stop by the meeting on Wednesday evening, we welcome new members or anyone who wants to talk airplanes or flying. For more information contact our President Jan Lee Directions to the hangar are:

From: Hwy 95 at Schweitzer Cut-off: West on Schweitzer Cutoff to "T" at North Boyer
Left (south) on N. Boyer 1 block to Woodland - Right (west) on Woodland 200 feet to service road on left (south) -
Straight in through service gate to 2nd hanger on left.
    


 
SEARCH AND RESCUE - Idaho Division or Aeronauics is putting together the aircraft Search and Rescue program for overdue and missing aircraft. If you are interested in volunteering as a pilot or spotter send Chris Popov an email to idahocub@gmail.com  When we get some interest we will be putting together a training class over the winter. We need both pilots AND spotters. We do air seach only and once we locate the aircraft the Sheriff's office becomes responsible for the rescue on the ground - so no hiking involved.  We are responsible for all of District 1 which is the five counties of the North Idaho panhandle - if we get a mission the state will reimburse you for fuel for your aircraft.  

FAASafety Program - Chris Popov is looking for some one to take over - or help - with the FAASafety seminar program. If you are interested in organizing training and safety seminars  (you don't have to put on the seminar, just work with the local pilots to find interesting topics and speakers) then send Chris an email at idahocub@gmail.com  and we can get you the FAASTeam training.
